BROKER CLASSES ADDED AS NEEDED BY DEMAND
Registration is NOT transferable to another class date.
You must attend the class dates enrolled for.
Registration is NOT transferable to another student without advanced written verification and directors approval on a case by case basis, and only for the same class. Student MUST agree to abide by the rules and conditions the person who paid for the class did. We will need a verification from original student that their payment will be for another student in writing. We also must notify the real estate commission of attendance.
There will be no refunds and classes MUST be paid in advance to attend
NO REFUNDS IN WHOLE OR PART FOR ANY REASON
At directors discretion, if 10 or more students are enrolled, paid, and attend, they may offer a refund minus 20% for a last minute cancellation with at least 48 hours advance notice only.
No Refunds, Transfers or Cancellations
Canceling and backing out of classes last minute may lead to rejection to attend a future class as classes are reliant on attendance numbers and we have experienced students who repeatedly are unreliable and inconsiderate.
Submitting the Registration form without payment will NOT reserve your spot.
Students are NOT enrolled until payment has been received.
Each module MUST be paid in Full in advance to be registered. First Come, First Served Basis for PAID students only
Students are NOT enrolled until payment has been received., have I said that yet?
You must pass the school's broker exam within 6 months of completion of the 90hr course module otherwise no credit will be issued for the course other than CE for attending.
Completing any one of the 3 broker class modules count as full 12 hour CE class requirement for that license period renewal. We cannot split the credit between license renewal terms, only for the terms the class was taken during.
Once enrolled a partial refund minus 20% of tuition will be issued only in the event of student hospitalization for serious illness, and only with a doctor's note and letter from the hospital, and at the discretion of the school director. A possible alternative at director's discretion would be to offer a credit to take another class if we have another scheduled in the near future. We cannot guarantee another class will be held in a time frame the student wishes or requires therefore student may have to wait longer and will hold the school harmless for any unmet deadlines student must meet, nor will we get a refund if it is unmet.
Sorry, the real estate commission restricts students from joining broker courses after it has begun.
Classes will be in the order of Ethics/Agency law, followed by Office Management followed by the 90-hour core class last because most of your exam will be based on it.
NEW Real Estate Commission RULE - You Can Take Broker Classes in ANY order therefore we host 90-hour portion last because most of your exams will be based on it.
Students obtaining education waivers for the 90-hour course can obtain them here however there is no waiver for the two 30 hr classes. Broker Experience & Education Waiver Application Form
ATTENDANCE
Respect the class by being on time and don't disturb the class with personal drama.
Lateness will be deducted from hours needed to meet attendance licensing requirements and will have a direct impact of your ability to graduate.
A Student commitment is necessary if they missed 20% of the classroom hours for any module as attendance does have a direct impact of your ability to graduate and obtain your license. If we do not hold another broker class within 6 months there may not be an opportunity for the broker student to complete their requirements. (That is in the event the director permits a makeup of hours)
You must attend for the dates scheduled for and cannot complete in a later date class without paying for the class again.
We found brokers classes difficult to schedule and students for these classes extremely unreliable canceling last minute. This really messes with our schedules.
If a student stops coming to class for any reason, see attendance policy for broker class it says you must finish the time in that class and it is not transferable and cannot be made up in another class without paying to retake the class and only with the director's permission.
As a student YOU must make your education seriously, it does require a commitment. Attending class should be YOUR priority, just like college. If you miss too much time, don't study or pay attention, "enter excuse" can't make it. That would be your problem, not ours so don't make your drama anyone else's.
Unlike salespersons classes, there are 3 modules and students sometimes only need one of them so we need to ensure we have minimum enrollment requirements met to make it worth our while to host them. This can be a complex calculation due to the costs involved when we have students only needing part of the course.
You MUST complete all 3 classes to meet state education requirement for NJ brokers license unless you have an education waiver for the 90 Hour Core class.
Students must contact the REC for education waivers
Students must obtain Broker Eligibility Form Certificate in pdf or in an editable word doc to take State Broker Exam and no need to get it before the class, you will need to send it in with your school certificates. The latest broker experience reports and waiver forms can be found directly on the NJ Real Estate Commissions website on their forms page here: http://www.state.nj.us/dobi/division_rec/licensing/recforms.htm
STUDENTS ARE NOT ENROLLED UNTIL YOU REGISTER AND PAY!
CLASSES MAY BE RESCHEDULED IF MINIMUM STUDENT ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS NOT MET at which point we will do a roll call for students to re-confirm their interest as their opportunity to bail out or commit.
Registration requires payment in full
(NO REFUNDS if cancelled with less than 48 hour advanced notice in writing when class dates are posted)

WARNING POTENTIAL BROKER STUDENTS
Our brokers course is the fastest part time brokers course available. It is faster than most full time courses many schools offer. We've heard other schools are trying to convince students their classes are faster, what you need to worry about is what they're cutting out.
Career Path Academy takes great care in creating our schedules to ensure adherence to REC requirements yet doesn't restrict the students. Our courses are also guaranteed, if you don't pass the state exam, you can retake the course with us FREE within 1 year of completion provided we have another class within that time frame.
Career Path Academy is different from other real estate schools because we care what happens to you AFTER you pay for the course. We will do our best to ensure you pass the state exam as long as you are willing to do your part and study as we recommend.
Any schools claiming their part time classes quicker are either lying to get you enrolled or are cutting corners which won't help you if you ever need to miss a single day or come test time because too much class time was cut out of the course you paid good money for, Oh... we also cost less than those guys!
Tricks lesser schools use is cutting the hours of the class. The state requires you complete 80% of each of the 3 module courses to become broker. The core class is 90 hours, the other guys cut the class down by 20% to 72 hours, this means you better not be late to one class or miss a single day or you won't meet minimum class hour requirements the real estate commissions has to become a broker.
So why cut corners and get stressed out to shave a 1 or 2 days off the course again? Is it worth it?
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
The experience requirement for licensure as a broker requires the applicant to demonstrate a commitment to real estate brokerage as their primary vocation, as evidenced by their involvement in the real estate brokerage business on a full-time basis. Applicants must have been continually licensed and employed as a real estate salesperson during the three years immediately preceding their application. To demonstrate full-time employment the applicant must show that they have worked as a salesperson under the authority of a broker for at least 40 hours per week during the hours of approximately 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. during any five days of each week. If the applicant was employed in any other occupation during the three year period, such other employment must not have exceeded 25 hours per week.
COURSE REQUIREMENT
A broker license candidate must first successfully complete courses of study in real estate consisting of a minimum of 150 hours. The 150 hours shall be completed by first taking a 90 hour general real estate broker course. After completing the 90 hour course, candidates must successfully complete a 30 hour course on brokers' ethics and agency law and relationships, and a second 30 hour course on office management and related topics. All three courses of instruction must be completed within a period of two years.
